ACHIEVED
Loris's weekly savings:
36/100 x $631 = $227.16

Total weekly savings:
$227.16+$206.8 = $433.96
The Bus Trip:
Two tickets
1400 x 2 = €2800
Convert to NZ dollars
$NZ = 2800

MERIT:
Expenses:
Average daily spending: JUNE/JULY
Number of days = 30 +31 = 61 days but take off 14 days for the bus trip = 61 - 14 = 47 days
47 x $140 = $6580.00
Maximum Average Daily Allowance
47 x $159 = $7473.00
Air Tickets:
$2100 x 2 for two tickets
2100 x 2 x 1.025= $4305
Travel Insurance with GST: ( This is for both of them so don't double it)
GST = $411 x 15/100 = $61.65 or $411 x 1.15 = $472.65 (shortcut)
$411+ $61.65 = $472.65
Bus Trip Cost: (from Achieved)
$4666.67
Total Costs or Expenditure:
$4666.67 + $4305 + $6580 + $472.65=$16024.32
Total weekly savings from above
$433.96
Time to save in weeks = Total Expenditure/Total Savings
= $16024.32/$433.96 = 36.93 weeks
Or 37 whole weeks
It will take them approximately 37 weeks to save for the trip
